March 24th Covid-19 Update:
New Brunswick has announced one new case of Covid-19 in Zone 1 (Southern NB), a woman between the age 20-30. This is New Brunswick’s 18 case, they are all confirmed, it is a travel related case. There have been 170 cases tested at the George Dumont lab in Moncton since Monday, which can now give final confirmation of a test. Russell said two people have needed to be hospitalized and a third is being monitored. In response to a question about testing numbers Dr. Russell says that the pandemic affected different provinces at different times and that is why there’s a difference in the testing numbers.
The province introduced new guidelines as of Tuesday. Anyone who has travelled anywhere outside of New Brunswick will have to self-isolate for 14 days.
